Hello, I am beginning a 3 week minimum fast today. I have just completed my first 24 hours.
I have not fasted this long in about 25 years, so I am excited to be finally taking the time to do it.
You may ask "why now?" Well, in the last 15 months I have lost 112 lbs. I have not gone on a diet but changed my eating habits drastically.
I no longer eat fried foods, I don't drink cola (even diet) and I limit my calorie intake to under 1500 a day. I began at 310 and am now 198. My goal is to be 150.
I am 5'4" and I think that would be a good weight for me. I am a healthy 51 year old who has never been sick or in the hospital (except to have 3 children naturally)even though I have been overweight most all of my life.
I want to continue to be healthy...I know fasting is beneficial. I fasted when I was younger off and on, but the longest was 2 weeks.
I am determined to go 3 weeks to get the most benefit from it. Any help and encouragement will be appreciated! Thanks for listening!
