Thanks so much for the tips! I feel amazing, today I am on day 13, I have never felt this GREAT before, I have no urge to eat, I have plenty of energy and I'm less emotional!!
I haven't weighed myself, I plan on doing that after my fast.
I have also made an appointment to get a colonic this week.
I wish I had done this years ago! I will keep you guys updated!
Thanks, -M

Water Quality by: Rob J - FTF Editor
Hello M;
I can certainly understand your question. Water fasting is the toughest form of fasting, but it is very rewarding.
I did a 40-day water fast a few years ago and it changed my life.
Yes... water quality is important. I DO NOT recommend that you continue to drink water from the tap if it is as rusty as you say it is.
The top recommendation would be for you to purchase a water purifier.
We have a few top picks here at the "Resources" page which you can access by clicking the tab on the bottom left of this page.
If you cannot currently afford a purifier, then by all means my recommendation would be for you to boil it before you drink it.
Try to boil enough for at least three days at a time and put it in plastic gallon jugs from milk or juice, and refrigerate.
Sometimes boiled water can have a funny "aftertaste." For this I recommend you add some lemon or lime to the water to dilute the taste. Just a little though! Do not turn it into lemonade.
Make sure you boil enough and you have sufficient water refrigerated and ready for you when the hunger strikes.
Some days you may drink half a gallon, others you may drink a gallon or more.
Remember, when water fasting, the point is to use the water as "food" whenever you are hungry.
The body will complain and while for a season, but eventually it will give up and you will find great physical and mental rewards.
Stay in touch and let us know how you are doing.
All the best,

Good luck by: Munk
Good luck on your 30 day water fast. You said you are drinking five, 16-ounce bottles of water a day.
In my opinion, you need to be drinking five liters of water a day to help clear out the toxins from your body. The more water the better.
If you can, go to a steam sauna and sweat out toxins that way and find a Hydro therapist (colonic) to help remove the sludge from your bowels.
