40 Days Water Fast --Motivation and Strenght Needed

WATER FASTING


I have been on and off fasting for the last 13 days, and its the hardest thing!

The third day is always the one that gets me. Once I start to feel drained and weaker, the hunger sets in like crazy, also boredom as I am by myself all day.

So on the third day, usually in the late afternoon, I give in and break the fast with small things like fruit and juice, but then I get a taste for food , I binge eat.

Afterwards I feel sick and depressed because i know that if i have just stayed strong for that third day, it would be easier.

I have fasted previously for about 16 days, and it was amazing I lost around 23lbs I was filled with energy for most of the days after the 3rd day. This time around however it has been extremely difficult.

I have since attempted to fast about 4 times but only until now I have become more serious and in the past 13 days, I have only fasted for 2 days, every 2nd day. I am always struggling, trying to get through the third.

I need motivation and strength to keep going.
I originally started fasting to drop weight, and although I still want to fast for this reason, it is more now about my self control.

It would be extremely helpful and great to share experiences with other people fasting and who have fasted. Although I have a supporting family, however they are not fasting. So it is hard when I am around them during family dinners.

Although they try to be sensitive to my feelings and fasting, I don't actually think they would understand it because they are not fasting themselves.

So if there is anyone out there that has been in a similar situation to me and would like to share motivation stories or success stories, I would be very grateful.

I plan to do a 40 day water fast.
