Consecutively Fasting Until I Reach My Goal - Nurse Practitioner Share Her Day-to-Day Fasting Activities
I am 5'7" and, after a period of severe depression, skyrocketed to 210# (size 16). This is currently day 14 of my fast. I have fasted before to detoxify my body, but generally only a 7-1I cleansing fast.
I will not get on a scale until true hunger begins -- I know there will be plateaus as my body continually readjusts.
As long as I feel well and have energy to do my everyday activities, and see a difference in my clothes, I will continue. This is what I am doing (mind you, I am a Nurse Practitioner, not a kook):
Day 1-3: pre-water-fast juicing with dilute greens and fruit juice, evening senna capsules (2) taken throughout fast to keep things loose inside. Yes, some fatigue and headache, as expected because I'd started daily coffee drinking.
Day 4-10: daily salt water flushes each morning with 1 Tbs sea salt (non-iodized) and 2 Qts warm water(stay near toilet for 2 hrs). Headaches greatly lessened.
Minimal hunger: mostly psychological, as I continue to prepare meals for my lazy family including many kids and their friends ;) I drink mostly water during day butonce a day add juice of 1 lime or lemon to 2 cups water and add as much cayenne as you can handle the scovilles.
The cayenne is a potent antioxidant, helps flush cholesterol from your body -- as does the lemon juice -- and heals your vascular system, also reducing blood pressure (so stand up slowly throughout your fast). On day 9-10 my body craved protein. I was able to satiate it with the lemon juice and cayenne in warm water sipped very slowly.
Day 11: lots of water. 1 kiwi (108 cal, 29 gm carbs, 1 gm fat, 5 gm fiber and 5 mg sodium), eaten slowly in tiny bites (my body demanded this...no other reason.)
Day 12-20: water fast with evening senna capsules and every 3rd morning a magnesium salt1Tb/2qt)water flush (this seems to be enough even though I still have brownish colored exudate so I know the colon is not totally cleansed...I might to some Go-Lytely later on if this continues).
Day 21-30: water fast. 2 times a day use juice from 1/2 lemon or lime and cayenne in my water.
Day 31-40 water fast.
I will revise on day 40 and repost as appropriate. I will also post b4 and after photos when this process has been completed.
I am committed to a calorie-restricted non-white food healthy lifestyle after this, with occasional fish (or at least fish oil) and continued intermittent fasting (at least every other day) to keep my body used to being clean and staying in charge of my intake.
