Divorcing Myself from Food With a Water Fast - Day 1

I decided that I needed to clean my body up so that I can start eating healthy. I do eat raw from time to time but had not committed to a healthy diet in full until now.

I turned 50 and felt the need to try to do all I could to live more healthy and regain a spiritual awareness also. So I felt led to fasting. I started out fasting half a day on fruit. Then yesterday I decided to go on a water fast.

I find that I need to totally myself from divorce all food for a time so that I could cleanse. Then I want to start eating healthy. I want to become between 70-95% raw at all times. So today is day one of my water fast. I will try and write in here maybe once a week.

Today I don't feel hungry at all. I have periods of hunger and I time them to see how long it takes for the hunger to pass. Hunger lasts from 5 to 7 minutes as far as I can tell.

I drink the water as I feel I need it. I don't like the bloated feeling so I don't drink until I am full, I just sip a lot. I am experiencing a bit of detoxing, running nose, coughed up a bit of phlegm and have had slight headache. But other than that I feel ok.

I plan to try and walk on the tread mill each day for about 15-25 minutes if possible. Mostly I will rest and just pray and seek guidance. I will weight myself once a week too. But that's it for now.
