Fasting & Detoxification - Salt Water Flush, Can it Be Dangerous? Advice Wanted!
by Anonymous
Hello All:
I was wondering if it is possible to do a salt water flush every day of a 10-day water fast, or would that much salt intake be dangerous?
-------- Hi: This is Robert, webmaster of FTF. The salt water flush is a big shock to your body. I would NOT recommend that you do it every day.
If you are planning to fast for ten days with just water, I would suggest that you do it no more than four times (every two days) at the very most. It is best to do it in the morning, also.
Once you are accustomed to it and know how your body reacts, then you might possibly venture and do it more often; preferably in another fast.
The salt water flush is most commonly used as part of the popular Lemonade or Master Cleanse diet. While it IS done daily as part of that regimen, the body is better able to process it because one is drinking the lemonade, along with honey and cayenne pepper.
But I always prefer to err in the side of caution when doing a fast with strictly water. I hope this helps.
Good luck
