I have a feeling you will not be able to do the cardio...
fasting isn't just something you slip into your life.
it is a serious transition that your body has to phase into... and just with that takes a lot of work.... putting additional pressure of your body is just stupid.

A word of caution......if this is your first fast AND you are doing a 30 day fast you should probably go easy on your body. It is recommended that a person on there first fast doesn't exceed 5 days in order to prep the body and then work up from there. One hour of cardio (outside of walking and maybe some yoga) may be too much on your body. Go easy. If you can do it, great. But don't expect your body to do more than it can. It will detox just fine without strenuous (or any) exercise. Believe me. I train several days a week both lifting and running and will be competing in a figure competition in May 2010. I know a little bit about fitness. In order for you to get optimal results from fasting, it is best to go easy, Let your body do the work. It is not necessary to put too much stress on it.

I am fasting ten days starting Dec 12... I hope.

I am fasting for freedom from food addiction/also, mental -emotional health. I've fasted 4 days in a row in the past. i might just go for 5 days this time.


I am a thin person but still addicted to food... always wanting to eat even when my body can't handle it -- always wanting to use food as a fix. It is pretty grueling and I need to free myself from it.

My sister has just had 2 children so I have a little vicarious experience of pregnancy... she's unfortunately not supportive of me/of fasting.

I would like to hear from you!
