Comment The mind either is or isn't in the right state to fast -- regardless of how much your body is wanting to fast. If preparing food is enough to knock you off your fast, then your mind wasn't up for it anyway. You've got to calmly tell your self that fasting is EASY and that the things you have to do, whatever they are, don't matter. DON'T change the things you do very much during fasting. Just don't exert yourself. And cooking is easy so it does not matter. The key word is EASY. Fasting is easy.

Comment My questions are what do I do after the water fasting. How do I safely begin eating again? and What do I eat? Can I begin eating meat and what I usually eat but in smaller portion? Does it increase my weight loss if I workout while doing the water fasting?
Comment Hi: To say the least, it is not easy trying to fast when you are responsible for food prep. I am on day three of my fast and have found that preparing food in the early AM for my family is helpful. I find that I have the most difficulty with the fast during the time of day that I normally became hungry: late afternoon through early evening. This approach seems to be helpful. Since the first several days are the hardest, I am hopeful that this approach can carry me through my fast (30 - 40 days). I may have to modify this approach but at least for now it works. Also, I find reading all the posts etc very helpful in the motivation department. Best of luck to you. Let me know if this works for you. Dawn
