How To Get Through The Second Day?
by Kiika
(UK)
Hello, can anyone help me? I have done a few 1 day water fasts (actually they are more like 36 hours) but I always cave on the second day. Does anyone have any tips on how to get through the difficult moments?
I don't really know why I give in because I am not really hungry, but I have this overwhelming feeling which makes me give in and eat! My mind gets filled with things like "maybe if I just eat soup" or "this is not healthy, I should eat" etc etc. But I really really want to do a fast and I think once I'm passed the second day I will be on my way!
I'm not going to lie, my main goal is to lose my excess 30 - 35 lbs but on the fasts I have done before, I really enjoy the clarity of mind and sort of euphoric feeling I get.
This time feels different, I decided to keep a journal to record my feelings and my progress and to remind myself why I am doing this. I hope this works! Any tips people have would be great, also any tips on keeping my fasting to myself would be helpful too.
I don't like to lie, but I also don't want to tell people what I am doing, as they always have an opinion on it!
Thanks!
