You Are Not Alone
by: Crystal

I hope all is well with your fast. I am on day 5 of a water/juice fast and doing alright.

Previously I have done a 21-day juice fast and had amazing results including allergy relief and cancer cured.

I am looking forward to the allergy relief and weight loss through this fast also. Just remember to stay strong and take it one day at a time.

That is what gets me through the tough days.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that you were not alone.

Good For you!!
by: Mo

I recently have learned that in the TEN YEARS of medical school that doctors are enrolled in, only 2 weeks is spent studying nutrition. 2 weeks! If you haven't started yet, the first few days are rough.

I drank sparkling water to fill me up, and by the 5th day, I already noticed a slimming in my face, and my symptoms had gone away.

Just make sure you take the time to relax. Your body needs extra sleep and care during this time (especially the first few days).

As far as the gym is concerned, just be careful. Your heart slows down to accommodate your level of homeostasis without glucose, so you will notice that your heart pumps faster and harder than it did before during the same activities.

Listen to your body. I like to walk on the treadmill at an incline for 40 minutes. This way, I still feel like my legs are getting a workout, and it helps me burn off some of the extra energy I have.

I feel great. I am 8 days in and I can't wait for what I will learn about myself and my body in the weeks to come. Keep it up! You can do it!!

You Are Not Alone

Hey Felicita,

I just read your post and I wanted to tell you that you are not alone.

I have been thinking about fasting for about a year now. It fascinates me to know that our body can live on pure water for a long time.

In fact, to know that it is good for our health to give the body a break from all the "garbage" we eat. It is one of the best gifts we can give to ourselves.

I am trying to bring myself to actually do a fast. It has been very hard for me because I have a very toxic relationship with food.

I use it to calm down my emotions, I binge, I hide to eat, I overeat....ahhh! I have been in this vicious cycle for years.

Anyway, just wanted to tell you that you are not alone. I plan to start my first fast this next Monday.

It's time to break free from our inner prisons.

Here is a quote that really inspires me: "We are capable of so much more than we usually dare to imagine"

Keep in touch.
