May 1, 2011: My start of a 9-day fast. (Asian female, age 21, 5'4")

Happy May, guys! I'm a junior in college, and I've been wanting to lose the extra weight that I gained my freshman year here.
Currently, I weigh around 138lb. I'm 5'4", female, and 21 years old. I was 120lb before I came to college, and I would really like to get back to that weight, if not lower.
I did a water-only fast at the end of my freshman year and lost a ton of weight. But I didn't have the right mindset and ended up binging after my fast. I gained back all the weight and some more by the time I went home. This time, I won't make this mistake.
I'm just scared, though: Does your metabolism decrease during a fast? I'm pretty sure it does. So... how do I begin to eat again after a fast without gaining weight?
I'll update this post to let you all know how it's going.
So far, it's been 12-ish hours since my fast began. I slept for most of it and am in the process of writing a paper, so I haven't been moving around much and there's been no noticeable weakness or dizziness. I have been drinking water out of a pretty big glass, though, and I've been going to the bathroom a lot. I guess I'm just drinking much more water than I normally do-- but when there's nothing but water that you can consume, you tend to do that.
So... yup. I'll just be updating this post whenever I get cravings or the temptation to eat. I'll probably post the symptoms I see, too. I know that when I fasted two years ago, I had a small, red blemish show up next to my mouth along with a white coating on my tongue. Let's see if this happens again.
