On Day 6 of a Water Only Fast

First let me say I've lost 9lbs in 5 days!! I'm on day six and have steadily been losing everyday since. I have not been hungry at all. I am drinking at least 1/2 gallon of DISTILLED water.
Distilled water is best for fasting from what I have studied. The best advice I can give first is to PREPARE your body!!
I've done a 10-day water fast before and just started without preparing myself and It was awful! I made it through but I now know I could have saved myself from a lot of the detox symptoms I went through.
Ok, so I prepared by eating only raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds for 2 weeks. This was hard in itself because when you body is used to eating crap you REALLY never get that full satisfied feeling on raw.
However, I did not limit myself on how much I could eat. I ate a LOT and only drank water and I still lost 10lbs in those 2 weeks.
Best raw recipe: Guacamole Lettuce wraps! so good
1 clove fresh garlic
1 haus Avocado
1/2 fresh lemon juice
3 Romain lettuce leafs
1 Roma tomato
Bag of shredded cabbage
Sea salt (organic)
Kens steakhouse creamy balsamic dressing
Guacamole: Cut the avo open and spoon the contents into a bowl. Finely chop the garlic and throw in. Squeeze the juice of 1/2 lemon ( has to be fresh!). take a fork and mash it all together. Add sea salt to taste.
Spoon this mixture onto the lettuce leaf. Dice the tomato and add. sprinkle the shredded cabbage. Drizzle the balsamic on top. NOW pick it up and eat! so messy but amazingly good!
I only drank water for the two weeks as well. Only vinaigrette dressings as well. No milk based dressings.
Eat plenty of nuts and seeds but make sure they are not roasted and only contain sea salt if salted. I loved pecans! cashews and sunflower seeds. They also leave you satisfied if you are hungry.
Don't limit yourself on this raw cleanse! all the fiber is great to clear your system. You could stay on this and continue losing weight, but it will take longer than a fast would.
So my starting weight on the cleanse was 152 after 2 weeks I was 142. I started my water fast at 142 and now at the start of day six I am 133
When I started my water fast I had virtually no hunger. I did have a slight headache at the end of day 1 but that was it.
Day 2- No hunger. A little weak. Insomnia.
Day 3- No hunger. Feel great. Had a small bowel movement.
Day 4- No hunger. Pretty tired. Slight lightheadedness.
Day 5 - Woke up at 4am with nausea. Knew it was toxin build up. Gave myself a distilled water enema. Threw up a little bit. Felt better.
Day 6 - So far so good. No hunger. Feel great! Lost 9lbs!!
Just as important as the cleanse before hand is to study! study ! study! fasting.
Dr. Joel Furhman has a book called 'fasting and eating for health' and another called 'eat to live'. Get both. They will change your life. He also has videos on youtube.
I am planning on doing 14 days. If you know what to expect as far as detox symptoms go then it will be much easier! if you have major health problems you may need to have your doctor supervise your fast.
Most of all just listen to your body. If you know what the normal detox symptoms are you will be able to distinguish between whats normal and abnormal.
