Struggling with Fasting Symptoms - Please Help!

by Jessica
(San Diego, California)

Yesterday, March 27, I decided I was going to do a nine-day water fast because on April 5, I am going on spring break vacation and I wanted to shed a few unwanted pounds.

Hunger to me is not that big of a problem, so I got through the first day rather easy. But later on during the night, I felt sick to my stomach and I had a constant headache. I drank a diet soda earlier and I took 4 Tylenol tablets which I think was a bad idea.

I woke up the second day feeling weak and very ill. I also had to take a birth control tablet. So on my second day, I decided to eat fruits because I couldn't deal with the sick feeling. Hunger is easy, but I couldn't tolerate the whole feeling like I'm going to vomit situation.

I think the whole soda and Tylenol made the whole thing worse. But I was just wondering if someone could tell me a way that I can fast without having headaches, nausea, extreme tiredness and weakness, etc.

I am going to try it again tomorrow, but if i begin to feel like I felt the other day, I'm not going to fast longer than one day.

Comments and opinions are much appreciated :]
