I'm only on my second day, and of course I have hunger pains.
But when I think of stories like yours and so many that have obtain their goals by fasting, I say hell with fries and Doritos!
I want to have a success story too ;o)
Best of Luck trooper!

Cravings are Normal by: Anonymous
It sounds to me like you're doing well! I always go for a short walk before giving in to cravings.
It works like a charm - finding my center.
I also read somewhere you crave the toxins you're getting rid of... so maybe the Doritos from a month or so ago ;)
Take care!

Doritos are bad for you by: Maria-Florida
We crave the most toxic things.
If I were you, I would start a list of the things you find yourself craving.
That is what I am planning to do for myself.

First Day of Fasting by: Maria- Florida
This is my first day. I am trying a 30 day fast and this is the firs step up and into the mountain.
It is almost 4pm and I have experienced no hunger; but some discomfort.
At some point I found myself questioning: "What is there to do if I am not going to eat?"
I realized how I have used food on a daily basis, just to quiet my emotional **&*%s.
I am morbidly overweight, and need to lose a lot of pounds. I am almost physically handicapped.
I want to lose 75 lbs. I am over 50 too. I know a long fast will not be enough to lose the extra weight. But it will be such a wonderful start, IF I only do it.
I have 2 good things going for me in my life now. First, no medical problems so far (How lucky have I been!)
Secondly, I am not working now and my responsibilities with the outer world are almost none for the first time in my life.
I decided on fasting after long readings and much thought. Hunger is like a beast to be fed every couple hours if I just start eating in the morning.
I decided to fast then, as an easier alternative.
I am happy I found this. I know I am not crazy; not the only one considering this alternative.
I will talk to you often, my dear family, brothers and sisters, while doing this. We help each other.
