Temptation Is A Witch

So, I'm currently on day 5 of a fast, and let me tell you ... I've never cared much for Doritos ... but I seem to be dreaming of ... yes, you guess it! Doritos!

I know the heavy toll extra pounds can take on a person. You and I (if you're reading this) are perpetually aware of it, you know?

Every time we get dressed we are thinking about whether or not this makes us look fat.

*I speak using the word 'us' because I know I'm not the only one!*

This isn't my first fast ... but first, second or my 70th fast, the cravings don't get easier.

The key to is to get your body ready for fasting! Don't stuff yourself silly one day, and then the next decide to go on a fast.

This is the worse mistake you can make. Prepare yourself, physically and mentally.

Fasting has been the most rewarding experience for me ... and my 50 lbs weight loss was my prize for succeeding.

Afterwards, it's all about changing eating habits, not counting calories.

Everything is in moderation. I realized that feeling good about myself was more important than eating an order of "supersize" French fries.
