The 28 day fast...

I successfully fasted for 20 days and felt fantastic afterwards. The weight fell off and I was amazed how much energy my body gave me.

I also couldn't believe how hunger just wasn't an issue after the first week!

However, I relapsed into binging after a week of eating sensibly. Why? I was rebelling! I now feel terrible and wanna go back on a fast again, but this time for 4 weeks instead of 3.

I hope I can do this, wish me luck and feel free to comment on your journeys and stories!

I hope to get to know you all, as I could really use the chat to motivate me

Different fasts NEW

I've been on several different fast's. 3-12 and 28 are some of them. On the 28 day I cheated a little and had a fruit malt from Sonic every evening. Forgot the weight loss on this fast but think it was around 30#.
Isaiah 58 is a good chapter for fasting if you want Spiritual help through your fast. The Daniel fast is another fast I've been on.

I would be careful starting a 28 days fast after recently finishing a 20 day fast. Knowing how to eat with moderation and joy is very important. Do not get hung up on over eating after a fast.. Allow your body to recover and re-learn how to eat properly. Do not worry about weight or "relapse" of eating style. Fasting is wonderful for the body and mind... but not a cure for over eating.. that needs to be addressed differently. Although a fast is an excellent way to reboot and teach you determination and foos appreciation it will also set you up for periods of over eating as your body wants to ensure than it will have enough reserves in the case that you fast for long periods of time in the future. Please relax about food.. Nourish your body..

Hi! You're making a good move by making a fresh start. Take it one day at a time and don't worry about past relapses...this is a new beginning...

I wish you all the best...I am on a water fast all through September...and I hope we can provide each other the motivation to succeed..Take care.
