THE Proper way to FAST for weight loss!

I am writing this because I feel that it really needs to be said.
Firstly if you are to fast to lose weight without changing your eating habits to a moving of your pleasures to a MODERATE intake. THEN YOU are wasting your time and inadvertently starving yourself, NOT of food, but of Nutrients.

I did my first 5 day water fast back in January 2012. Since then to date I have done 72 hour, juice fasting both for nutritional means and also organ detoxification. I am not here to BRAG or anything of the sort; I am here to correct some misdirected thought processes.

There is a book called Rational Fasting! Pleas read it, you can get it for $5 and even have it delivered to your local Barnes and Noble.
This book COMPLETELY changed my view on fasting and HEALTH.

Truly I think if you would like progress in the realm of fasting, the first thing is to REALLY see IF you are doing the best things to maximize your results.

So I am just going to leave some key pointers and if you have further questions I will elaborate.

**Things TO cut out or adjust in your DIET, WHILE eating:**
-No dairy based products, CHEESE, Yogurts. (try Almond, Cashew, Coconut or Hemp milk)
-Cooked Oils, (try cooking in water and then glazing with sesame oil, grape seed oil, olive oil)
- Eat Veggies RAW (except potatoes, eggplant and starchy veggies that need to be cooked); this will GREATLY change the amount of nutrients you will be getting.
-IF you eat meat have the density be light, hence the whole thing with White meat being "lighter".....on the Stomach. If you are eating MEAT, then you are eating Muscle. Do the math per Animal :)
-No sugar! You can have fruits though
-And last the FINAL battle, NO breads. EVERY bread is processed, other wise we would have BREAD trees, which don't exist.


Physical :
Yoga, Tai Chi or just plain stretching are VITAL in losing weight. (It provides circulation and better blood flow to muscles) EVEN more than sweating (you are just losing water that way). Ever get a massage and notice that you have to go urinate right after. That is the equivalent of SWEATING in theory. It helps open your pores and detoxify, but it is definitely not a must to sweat excessively, when you are losing weight. Circulation decreases muscle MASS, which Isn't bad. Because that means the SIZE goes down, it doesn't mean you are weaker. Bruce Lee vs Arnold Schwarzenegger.



Lifting weights is not a must good to build muscle, however MUSCLE weighs more than fat. Apply logic here. Before weights 160, After weights for 2 month period 172....?! Oh how could this happen? Because you are gaining weight and probably not really burning as much fat as you think you are in your Sweaty T-shirt.
So if you felt like doing weights, I would suggest 35% of the weight you can lift 2 to 3 times as many reps. So if you can max out at 100lbs then do 35lbs . If you do 10 reps, to 20 to 30, per set.


When fasting, FIND a crutch until you get better at it. The biggest part of fasting is MENTAL. The more you think and question the weaker you become to your urges.
I used honey during alot of my weak moments & would just have little dabs of honey throughout the day, but after A while I was about to give it away.
Many people use Halva, but this is religious fasting food. I eat it because I like it, but not to fast. It isn't healthy and is all sugar and ground sesame seed and a variety of natural flavors.

If you want to maximize your body Absorbing nutrients and also behaving properly. Enema's and Colonic's are the ANSWER. You absolutely MUST clear your intestines when you are fasting. Other wise you are really defeating the purpose because this is what allows you to LOSE weight in the first place. You have to release the waste from your body.


Ok so this is chunk of things. It is a little out of order, but I hope it helps.

I absolutely agree with this article. This summer I became vegetarian, and Im very happy with my decision. I also try not to eat dairy products, sugar, cooked food. Things that we should cut or adjust from our diet (that were mentioned in article) are very useful and true!! I’m not saying that I don’t eat junk food but after seeing documentaries and reading the book of German nutritionist Arnold Ehret - Mucusless Diet Healing System, I’m till today changing my eating habits. My first fasting was in summer for 2 days, but even in these 2 days I felt really big difference. I try to fast when ever I feel that my stomach is full with junk food. Also, I should mention that its really important to break your fasting in a right way by juicing and eating raw food after. And I agree with the author of the article that you should do cleans while you are fasting
Personally, I think this article is very informative, and you can learn a lot. I really like the list of things that we need to eliminate from our diet, and about physical training, this is so true. Thank David for the advice!
