You Have Entered The Zone

Thank you for that last post. What you shared is important because it shows that fasting CAN be done.

As we have talked about in various pages of this website, it is the first nine to eleven days that usually represent the biggest challenge with hunger and withdrawal pains.

Once that "barrier" is passed - it becomes much, much easier to resist temptation. In many cases, the hunger pains disappear altogether and become but a minor irritation.

This is particularly true with water fasting because the body is not ingesting any type of nourishment but is running strictly on Ketosis.

Oh, and I wanted to mention that, by far, SAYING NO will be extremely important - perhaps even more so - one "the fast is over!"

At any rate, I congratulate you on your accomplishment. I love to hear about persons who are embracing this awesome discipline of fasting and are using it to change their lives for the better.

All The Best,

Learning to say "No"
by: Anonymous

It is the hardest thing for me, along with asking for help.

My kids had 2 friends stay over last night and I was thinking -- as I made them dinner, breakfast and lunch -- that I should have scheduled this sleepover when their father could have been here to make the food.

But I kinda zoned out and just concentrated on the steps to make the meal and got through it. I am very proud of what I have accomplished so far.

I never thought I'd have the willpower to do this, but I am.

Today is Day 17.
