water fast attempt #2 support and comments please

I have tried fasting ee three other times. My first two attempts ended on start so I don't count them. My third attempt was a nine day water fast in which I lost about 20 lbs.

About two Weeks later I quit smoking and gained it all back and then some. I don't know why I've had such a hard time committing to another fast since but I haven't been able to do it. For the last for days I have swore tomorrow I will start my fast.

I haven't made it past 6 pm on any of those days.. So again I'm saying tomorrow. As I fast I'm going to quit smoking again a to not gain weight this time. Today is October 12 well technically the 13th since its past midnight and I want to be back on solid food around the seventh of next month.

My goal is to water fast followed by juice, broth, and small bits of avocado and banana finishing my fasting days in vegetables before I go back to mostly white meat diet and carbs.

I'm wondering if anyone out there has tips on keeping the weight off and preventing the undeniable hunger that comes with breaking a fast? I'm also searching and begging for support because everyone I know is completely against and negative when it comes to fasting.

To the best of my ability I'm going to hide my fast. I'm between 40 and 50 lbs over weight and need to do this for my health. I also wonder of anyone has done intermittent fasting as maintenance. If so how did that turn out?
