Water Fasting NUB! Diaries of an 18 year old- Day one out of 40

Hello everyone, I'm David, and I'm an overweight 18 year old in Florida. The past few days I've been eating heavily, and I've been overweight my WHOLE life.
I've tried diets since I was 14 and no success. I'm about 5' 10" and 260 lbs. Funny thing is, I've only got a little muscle but I really don't LOOK all that fat.
Anyway, I look fatter than my liking. I eat GENERALLY healthy foods, but way too much. So! This is a spurred attempt at a water diet, never been done before, and I'm coming to the end of my first day. I figure I'll lose a little weight but just as important- gain control on my eating.
STATUS: Started this thing mid day yesterday, though I count today as my first day. I found it a bit hard to get through, mostly psychological hunger.
But every time I want to eat, I take a sip of water and it seems to go away. DESPISE the taste of water though. Actually I am getting hungry right now.... taking a sip...
The thing is, I'm a really good liar. Not for stupid stories or anything, but things I feel that I need to. But I'm such a good liar that the whole day I've been convincing MYSELF to eat. "They said you should ease into the fast.... "Those apples are healthy, they shouldn't go to waste" "You just started yesterday, your metabolism won't be too shot if you eat now..."
It's actually a little funny catching myself doing it. Hard to restrain though, there's left over pizza, apples and bananas in front of me. I'm too determined, I won't give in. I'm going for about 40 days.
