Those of you that are sticking to your fast i tip my hat to you. it is hard for me to stick to a diet and eating healthy plan. I drink lots of water but i still get the urge to want to eat fast food or chips (my biggest enemy). I have been working out regularly hoping it will help me curb my appetite but in the afternoon and evening its hard to fight the temptation of wanting to eat something that is a normal habit. I have tried psyching my mind mind into thiniking that the meal is not nessary and it has no power over me but then my mouth begins to water and all i want to do is eat the thing i want most and feel satisfied.I drink a ton of water but i still get that empty feeling ten minutes later.

I wanted to say that reading your post made me feel like I was reading my own feelings in front of me.. I want to start a week fast, to hopefully regain control over my life again. I will start going to the gym too at the beginning of the year, and I am considering starting a healthy lifestyle along with the gym on Jan 1. Wish me luck in my fast, starting tomorrow, Dec 21, 2011.

I hope all your fasts were successful. I have fasted throughout my life to clear the deck of bad habits and shed pounds in a hurry and get back on track. It always works and I find about 10 is enough to accomplish my goals. I continue to lose pounds after breaking the fast since it really takes a long time to give up the freedom from food. I am beginning a fast today and will check in here for encouragement. Thank you!

water fasting for that length of time is very dangerous. see a doctor about making sure you can keep your electrolytes in balance during that period of time.

I just began today. Will get in 4 days and then have a business luncheon on Friday. I know where they are ordering from so I'll get my standard salad w/chicken breast and then I'm going to resume. I think that will be the hardest but there is no way to explain not eating etc.

Here we go! Get that water in! :)

Hi how are you doing?? I am about to finish day 1 of 20.. never fasted before.. feeling horrible but trying to stay positive..need loose 20 maybe 30! lb so i can go back to my pre baby weight! but also need to re find myself.. so here I go..may God help me! Us!

How is your fast going?? I am preparing to start mine tomorrow (I have only successfully completed 7 days in the past and want to try for 21 days). I need that 21 days to break a habit! == BINGE EATING!
