Completed 36 Day Water Fast

by Ant
(United Kingom)

I have just completed a 36 day water fast.
One day for each year on Earth.

The transformation both physically and mentally is quite amazing. I have a clarity of thought I have not previously known.

Breaking the fast was a real concern for me as I have read how difficult a time it can be. But I find the determination to not jeopordize how good I feel sufficient to get me through it.

I find the amazing taste of the raw foods I am eating enough to sustain me anyway.

The fast itself was physically easier than I though it would be, but the psychological hunger plagued me until near the end.

I continued to go to work, telling people I was jucing and going to gym to explain the rapid weight loss.

Stress was occasionally a problem but nothing that tempted me to sway.

My total weight loss was 60 pounds.

This is without a doubt the best thing I have ever done for myself.

I can actually 'hear' my body respond to what goes in to it. Giving me 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down'

Awesome!!!

Hi i just came out of 36day fast. I think i ate solids too soon, now im feeling sick. I went for a brisk walk on fourth day of breaking my fast and my body feels swollen, especially feet. Can this be from the walking? Its like im exhausted.

Assignment and essay writing are very primal and novel in terms of the acquisition and attainment of the knowledge. The essaycenter custom essay writing scripts are coined and constructed intellectually for the betterment and development of different sectors and perspectives of the studies.

For real?
by: Mousie

Hello,
I am just now discovering the benefits of fasting. All my life I've been told that if you don't eat enough, your metabolism will slow down and you won't lose weight. I was also told that I would lose muscle, which no one wants. So, after reading all these testemonials, I am getting really excited to try this. After reading yours, however, I began to feel a little skeptism. Did you really lose 60 pounds???? That is insane!!!! I would be so excited to even lose 50, which would bring me to my goal weight. I had gastric bypass, lost over 120 lbs, then gained back 50. Come to find out, that is somewhat of the norm to gain back that much. I felt unbeliveable at my lowest weight, but have not been able to lose a pound no matter what I do. I truly do not eat junk much, I can really only eat small portions due to the surgery. I am just afraid to get my hopes up and be let down. It seems a lot of times when people have such great success on a diet, I try it and don't get nearly the same results. Do you think the water, juice or fruit diet is best? I was going to just do water, but then I thought of all the nutrients I would be getting using my juicer and consuming only fresh veggies and fruits. What do you think. Also, how long was your first fast? Is it recommended to start with just a 24 hour fast and work your way up. Or, can you just jump in to the 40 day and still stay healthy? It just seems like this would not be good for you. Doesn't our body need fuel? I would love to hear your feedback and any advice you can give for me to get started.
Thanks and congrats on your weight loss!

That is amazing Ant! Congratulations on your weight loss :-). I am currently on my 4th day of a 40 water fasting regime and it is difficult!!

My co-workers eating around me the smells of food, the pain is almost excruciating. However I keep in mind that I need to break my addiction to food in order to regain control of my life.

Thank you for encouraging me. I feel a new vigor and will continue to take this a day at a time.

Congrats & Questions
by: Anonymous

That's so amazing that you lost that much weight. I wondered if I could ask you a couple of questions.

How much weight did you need to lose in the first place? What exercises did you do and how much? Any supplements help out? Any colonics or enemas used? Thanks so much! Congrats again!

Great Job
by: Anonymous

Hi Ant,

I want to say congrats as well. I'm glad you have the energy to go to work. I’m starting my fast today and I have to continue to work as well.

Besides allergies and being overweight (235), I’m in good condition. I’ll be getting a little exercise as I take the bus and then walk to work.

I’m just going to see how long I can fast. I’m looking at this like a test of my willpower or resolve.

I would like to go 25 days but will see how it goes.

I’m going on vacation mid July so I want to start juicing before I go. Wish me luck.

Hi Jennifer
by: Ant

Hi there,

The fast consisted of good quality spring water only. (filtered would be better).

Occasionally I did drink carbonated mineral water to give me a feeling of fullness. (It really works)

I also used a good hard body brush every evening after a hot shower, brushing towards the heart always, to stimulate lymph drainage.

I was planning to do a light exercise regimen, but found that with continuing to go to work I didn't have the energy.

Breaking the fast consisted of fresh diluted grape juice or apple juice only for the first few days, followed by watermelon and soft veg for the next few.

I consumed only raw food for two weeks, and then introduced fish and some grains.

Doing this has boosted my metabolism, and because of the low calories, I am continuing to lose weight :)

The amount you lose will also be dependent on the amount you have to lose. I was quite overweight.

Hope this helps,

Take care

Ant

Wow, Congratulations!!!
by: Jen M

Hey there, congratulations on your 36 day fast! That's amazing that you made it that far and lost SO much weight.

I'd love to hear what kind of fast you did??? I just finished a 26 day fast (Plus 6 days after the fast of eating prunes, then fruit, then lettuce/salad to reignite my digestive system) and only lost 9.5 pounds.

I can't believe you lost so much!!!!

I need to lose about 15 more pounds and would love to get your input. Thanks so much.

Jennifer
