The Lemonade Diet is a 10 to 40 day cleansing program that is akin to a liquid fast in several ways. Whilst you are doing the master cleanse diet during this period, your energy and nutrients will come from only the lemonade drink that you made with some common ingredients.
 The Lemonade Cleanse Diet is not a weight loss diet, but it is rather a bowel cleansing diet . While most people who go on the Lemonade Diet do lose weight, the goal is to cleanse the bowel of toxins so that the dieter can be as healthy as possible.

Burroughs recommends that people only drink orange juice the first two days off the cleanse, then eat only raw fruits and vegetables on the third day. Vegetable soup is also recommended to get the body used to food again.
